The story of D&M Depot began in 1992. Fairly quickly the NV D&M Depot was established - named after their two children David and Manon - as a ceramics and glass wholesale business. Today, D&M has become an international trendsetter in decorative interior accessories. About 80% of the products are designed by the company.
The remaining products are selected from all parts of the world. In addition to the home base in Aartselaar, D&M Depot also has an office and warehouse in China.
Customer Profile
The clientele amounts to approximately 2500 regular buyers. Although Belgium remains the first market in terms of volume of sales,
the company exports to neighbor countries and Italy as well as to important distributors worldwide.
Customer needs
D&M depot had an existing website. Because it had been statically made up, it was not possible to make adaptations to this site without mediation of an It-partner.
D&M depot wanted to rebuild its website based on a CMS system (Content Management System).
In this way they could easily make changes to the content of their website themselves (change texts, insert new pictures, produce new navigation items, make new pages)
Since D&M depot is present at many international fairs and since they have customers all around the world, it was also necessary to renew the existing online catalog.
D&M depot is situated in a visually oriented niche; therefore it was also important that the site had a very professional, dynamic and visual irradiation.
